IPC Standards

Flexible Circuits, Inc. develops all flexible circuit products around the standards set by the Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC), the trade association responsible for standardizing the production requirements for all electronic assemblies. IPC specs cover everything from design to assembly to ensure the final product upholds its integrity and performance in the field. Manufacturing high-quality flexible circuit boards allows us to provide clients with cost-effective and reliable solutions. Learn more about IPC specs below.

Official Standards

The following IPC specs are used in conjunction with J-STD-003, IPC-T-50, IPC-9191, RPC-D-325, IPC-QE/CD-605, IPC-AI-642, IPC-SM-782, IPC-™-650, MIL-P-50884, military connector specifications, and more.

IPC-A-600

The IPC-A-600 specs document all externally observable and internally observable conditions that each printed circuit board must meet to qualify. There are three levels of acceptance criteria to represent three levels of quality:

Our goal at Flexible Circuits, Inc. is to produce the highest-quality flexible circuit boards. We always strive to meet target conditions so that you can enjoy unparalleled performance and speed in your application.

Trusted by Industry Leaders

IPC-A-610

Every circuit board manufactured at Flexible Circuits, Inc. must meet the Acceptability Standards outlined in IPC-A-610, which cover flex and rigid-flex specs for:

The IPC specs address all three classes of products: general electronic products (Class 1), dedicated service electronic products (Class 2), and high-performance electronic products (Class 3). Flexible Circuits, Inc. deals primarily with Class 3 flexible circuits.

IPC 6013

The IPC 6013 Qualification and Performance Specification for Flexible/Rigid-Flexible Printed Boards outlines the criteria for all five printed board types and installation uses. Every flexible circuit board manufactured by our engineers must meet these criteria before it is delivered to the client as a final product.
